Anhydrous Sodium Sulfite Food Grade

Sodium sulfite (sodium sulphite, anhydrous sodium sulfite) is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Na2SO3. It is an inorganic sodium salt and a sulfite salt. It appears as a white, water-soluble solid crystalline powder. Heptahydrate sodium sulfite is another form of sodium sulfite, but it is less useful because of its greater susceptibility toward oxidation by air. Sodium Sulfite Food Grade is used commercially as an antioxidant and preservative.

Weifang Bell Chemical Co., Ltd is the top sodium sulfite manufacturer in China. Our Sodium Sulfite is above national standards. Please get in touch with us for more information.

Sodium Sulfite Food Grade Application

Sodium Sulfite Food Grade exhibits bleaching, de-sulfurizing, and dechlorinating activities. This agent was used by food industry to help maintain the fresh appearance of food products. Its reducing properties are exploited in its use as a preservative to prevent dried fruit from discoloring, and for preserving meats. It is also a component in many drugs, which helps maintain their potency and stability. FDA has ruled sodium sulfite a new animal drug of low regulatory priority.
